TENILLE CUNDICK
Violin, Viola, Suzuki Early Childhood Education

Tenille began studying Suzuki Violin in Utah at age 3 with Jeanne Grover. As she advanced she studied with Karen Child before graduating from Suzuki. She continued her studies with Jack Ashton, Marjorie Bagley, and Becky McFaul. She also picked up the viola to provide versatility in string quartets. She graduated from Utah State University with minors in Child Development, and Music.

As a Suzuki Teacher, she trained at Intermountain Suzuki String Institute in Books 1-3 with Judy Bossuat and Teri Einfeldt. She has taught private string lessons for 24 years in Utah, California, New York, and Idaho. Recently, she trained for Suzuki Early Childhood Education with Danette Warren with the goal of strengthening SECE opportunities near her home in Farmington, UT.

Tenille loves teaching because she enjoys seeing her skills help others to achieve their goals, both musically and more broadly in other parts of life, understanding that learning through the Suzuki Method can make so much more than great musicians. In Suzuki’s own words, her goal is “to create noble human beings.”

As a performer, she has been a member of the Young Artist Chamber Players (Jack Ashton), Rocky Mountain Youth Camerata (Ted Ashton), Utah State University Symphony Orchestra (Sergio Bernal), and the Magic Valley Philharmonic (Rotating Conductors). She was also a founding member of the Millcreek String Quartet.
