Piano, Collaborative Piano, Mandolin, Choral Ensembles
Alexandra Fackler is a collaborative pianist and teacher located in the Ogden, Utah area.
Alexandra’s passion lies in making music more accessible for young people and helping them find their own passion through the music that they play. Alexandra has performed extensively as a collaborative artist, playing for American Choral Directors Association honor choirs, music directing musicals and operas, and performing in chamber music festivals. She has held a staff pianist position at Oklahoma City University and in the summer of 2023 she was invited to participate in a week-long mentorship program for young vocal coaches with Roger Vignoles. Alexandra relishes performing new music and loves the challenge of premiering works that bring a fresh perspective to the classical world.
Alexandra has been teaching piano for fifteen years and is trained in the Suzuki method. She uses a hybrid approach to formulate an individualized curriculum for each student. She believes that music lessons are as much about building soft skills such as perseverance, creativity, and self-confidence as they are about playing an instrument. Alexandra holds each student to a high standard of excellence and has had many students place and win local competitions. She loves to bring her collaborative experience into lessons and strives to give each student the chance to enjoy the piano as an ensemble instrument.
Alexandra is originally from Northwest Arkansas and holds a Bachelor of Musical Arts degree in piano from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Music degree in collaborative piano from the University of Central Oklahoma. In her spare time she loves to cook, read, play bluegrass music, and spend time with her husband and two adorable dogs.
